4 Ways to Make Your Breath Smell Fresh and Healthy
Nothing is worse than the look of ‘is that your breath?’ when talking to somebody. It can destroy your confidence, can alienate people, and if you have been drinking heavily, it is even a fire hazard.
Jokes aside, having bad breath can really make your life difficult. It can make it so difficult that you would have to spend time alone building up self confidence before you can interact with people again.
However, you should know that there are several ways to eliminate bad breath and in turn restore your confidence. These do not require any special preparation and this means that you would be able to continue your life as normal, minus the bad breath. This means that the only time you will try to avoid human interaction will be when you play online casino games and are deep into a winning run.
Brush Your Teeth Regularly
This is an obvious piece of advice, but you would be surprised how many people avoid it and then complain that they have bad breath. When eliminating bad breath it is important to start with the basics and brushing your teeth at least twice a day is as basic as it gets.
In addition, you might think that brushing your teeth before you go out is more important than brushing your teeth at night, but it is actually the other way around. Brushing your teeth at night lowers the number of bacteria which build up overnight and in turn keeps your teeth and gums very healthy.
Clean the Tongue and Floss
Lots of people only focus on the teeth and gums when trying to eliminate bad breath. However, thoroughly brushing your tongue too will remove deeply burrowed anaerobic bacteria responsible for that terrible sulphuric smell.
In addition to keeping the tongue clean, breath conscious individuals should also regularly floss. Flossing eliminates bacteria and fungus found in between teeth and can make a world of difference when eliminating bad breath.
Drink a Lot of Water
Drinking more water seems to be the solution to all of your problems these days. However, as worn out as the phrase ‘stay hydrated’ sounds it really is healthy to drink lots of fluids, especially water when it comes to eliminating bad breath.
This is because staying hydrated increases saliva production. More saliva means fewer bacteria in your mouth and that in turn makes your breath smell much better. In addition to this, drinking water really is healthy.
Eat Healthily
This one is probably the most difficult to do of all the things in this list, but as you can imagine it has the greatest effect in eliminating bad breath forever. Changing your dietary habits towards more whole foods has a lot of benefits and one of those is having a very fresh breath.
This is because fruit and vegetables are very easily digested and cause very little strain on the digestive system. This in turn reduces smells which are created when the stomach and gut have to deal with highly acidic or difficult to digest products such as meat and milk.
